Stained Glass windows of St Stephen, Kirkby Stephen

Stained glass windows of St Stephen
Kirkby Stephen
Cumbria

Here are a few photos of the major stained glass windows of St Stephens church in Kirkby Stephen. I have no history as such for the windows shown here, so I'll just relay the dedications as they are displayed in the glass.

Above. Window dedicated to the memory of Henry King, vicar of the Parish of Kirkby Stephen for 20 years.

Above. Window dedicated to the memory of John Jackson M.D., Sarah his wife and also in memory of John Jackson who died a prisoner of war at Verdun.

Above. Window dedicated to the memory of John Foster who died 13th of August 1951, gifted to the church by his wife and family.

Above. Window dedicated to the memory of Thomas Mason, and Mary Mason, Anne Frances and John M Mason.

The window depicts Samuel(?) in the left hand pane, Mary in the second pane, Eunice and Timothy in the third pane and Peter in the right hand pane.

I admired the panel of Mary of Bethany on my recent Coast to Coast walk and could not help thinking how modern her hairstyle and general appearance was, the date says 1903. Lovely photo.
