St Thomas,
Lancaster,
Lancashire
St Thomas was built in 1840\41 to designs by Edmund Sharpe. The elegant spire at the rear of the church was added in 1852\53 and built to designs by the Sharpe and Paley company of Lancaster.
The church was established after disputes over the contents of services previously held at St Marys. Funding was by way of public subscription, with the church being consecrated in 1845.
